The artist Peter Wilson has exhibited extensively in the UK and abroad. His work is represented in many public and private collections. Educated at Glasgow School of Art, Peter has worked in London, Leicester, Brighton, Rutland and Los Angeles.

It was working in Los Angeles, as Artist in Residence, which inspired his latest collection of paintings. With the use of colour he has expertly transformed familiar scenes, such as city and beachscapes in to profoundly symbolic and metaphorical images. Suggestive of the underside of life 'in the sun', the works are mysterious and archetypally charged, taking the spectator on a dance through Hollywood backdrops, with Film Noir settings in glorious Technicolor.

From 2003 - 2005 Peter was involved in an exciting project. With the innovative skills of leading architect Robert Barnes, Peter conceived and built a new house with a purpose built studio at his village home in the heart of Rutland.
